These guys definitely aren’t going to win the next American Idol (and their Miley Cyrus song choice is a little suspect), but maybe they’ll get the next best thing to being an Idol, they’ll win a National Championship.

In this podcast, we bring in our own bracketologist, Max Fortune, to discuss the 2011 NCAA tournament.

  1. Awesome bracket guys XD. I guess no one’s bracket was all that great this year, but not everyone did an entire podcast about theirs :p .

So…I’ve got a question for y’all…it’s about time for MVP discussions, so can you guys explain to me why everyone just seems to act like it’s obvious that D-Rose should win? Lebron’s numbers are still off the chart, but if people don’t like that argument since he’s on a team with all-stars, what’s the issue with Dwight Howard? His stats are ridiculous on top of the fact that he’s the best defensive big man in the game (and it’s not even close). Also, not a lot of people like PER, but Howard is 2 there (Lebron’s still 1, even now), and I don’t even think Rose is in the top 10. If it’s the “best player on the best team” argument, why doesn’t Tim Duncan win it? Look at how bad the Spurs have been since he went down. Everyone just seems to think that Rose turned the entire franchise around, and he’s been good, but I think it’s really been a combination of him, Thibodeau as well as the acquisition of free agents like Boozer. I just find giving the MVP to someone who is so inefficient offensively (not even shooting 45% from the field and 20 shots to score 25 points a game) to be hard to swallow (that’s what she said).
